What’s new for buyers and sellers on Cloudscene Marketplace?

Cloudscene has released new features and capabilities for Marketplace to support the next wave of requirements for procurement and sales teams to fulfill their network projects in a smart, fast, and easy way.

What’s new for buyers?

Marketplace Listing Performance Dashboard

View every response to each of your Marketplace listings from invited service providers and the open market all in one dashboard making tracking and reporting easier. This includes: 

– Invited Providers: Number of service providers you selected to bid on your listing.

– Bids Received: Number of quotes you’ve received on your listing from invited services providers and/or the open market.

– Intend to Bid: Number of service providers who have intended to provide a bid for your requirements. 

– No Bid: Number of ‘No Bid’ responses you’ve received from invited service providers on your listing.

– Views: Number of times your Marketplace listing has been clicked on and viewed.

Schedule Marketplace Listings

Choose the date and time you want your new listing to become active on Cloudscene Marketplace so you can organize your schedule for when you’re ready to start receiving responses from service providers. 

Export Bids

You can now export a CSV of information on all of the current bids on each of your Marketplace listings enabling you to compare quotes easily, side by side. 

Creating Marketplace listings:

  • – Add attachments to all listings to support your requirements and give service providers further details of your projects
  • – Select countries as well as markets in which your services are required
  • – Invite up to 20 service providers to submit a quote for each listing
  • – Access My Marketplace within the Marketplace application for easier access
  • – Display a logo on each listing to ensure your project stands out (appears by default when a logo is uploaded to your Cloudscene company team)

How to add attachments to your listing

Managing listing responses: 

  • – Shortlist bids before you make your final selection of service provider/s and mark vendors as successful or unsuccessful
  • – Edit a listing after publishing to update any changes to your requirements. Invited service providers will be automatically notified should they need to re-quote you
  • – Share the reasons for declining a service provider’s bid to help vendors understand how they can serve you better; choose from the following:

How to edit your listing

Changes for teams: 

  • – All users are required to be part of their company team. For new team members, permissions will be set to a low level unless indicated otherwise by an Admin on the team
  • – In order to create a listing, you must be on a company team
  • – Team collaboration is now possible with Procurement Management permissions turned on. This will allow you to share your listings with company team members, including all bids received

New communication features:

Buyers will receive more comprehensive communication from service providers, such as the following:

  • – Intend to bid: This occurs when a service provider is interested in bidding on your listing (public or private) and has indicated that they will provide a quote
  • – No bid: This occurs when a service provider has indicated they are unable to provide a quote eg. off-net in the required location (they may give you a reason for doing so which will be viewable against the listing in My Marketplace)

Tracking listing progress and performance:

View the stage of each individual listing in My Marketplace:

  • – Listings: Find all your existing listings that are published on Marketplace
  • – Completed: Find all of your listings that have gone through the bid process and are now completed

View the status of each individual listing in My Marketplace:

  • – Pending: The listing is currently undergoing review and will be published on Marketplace shortly
  • – Active: The listing is live on Marketplace as public or private depending on your selection, and has been sent to your chosen service providers (if you chose to invite providers at the time of creation)
  • – Complete: Listing has been through the entire bid process, a service provider has likely been selected, and the listing expiry date has passed This is the stage when you may also choose to notify all remaining vendors of the reason their bid was not successful

View the status of each service provider’s bid for a listing:

  • – Invited: Any service providers that have been invited to bid on a listing
  • – Bids: All bids you have received from service providers who have been invited or who have responded as a result of seeing your public listing on Cloudscene Marketplace
  • – Shortlisted: Any vendors who have bid that you have marked as Shortlisted
  • – Successful: Any vendors who have bid that you have marked as Successful
  • – Unsuccessful: Any vendors who have bid that you have marked as Unsuccessful

What’s new for sellers?

Accessing and managing opportunities: 

  • – Indicate your intent to bid on public and private listings to advise the buyer that you will submit a bid before the expiry date
  • – Provide a ‘No Bid’ response on public or private listings you have been invited to bid one eg. you are off-net at the location (and provide reasons for declining the opportunity); choose from the following:

  • – Within a listing, you can submit partial bids and indicate a ‘No Bid’ for services indicated in the listing that you are unable to fulfill
  • – Pricing can be submitted in set fields, including the ability to indicate the most relevant currency to the buyer
  • – Preview your bid before submission
  • – Assign an opportunity to a team member so they can fulfill the bid process on behalf of your company

How to intend to bid on a listing

Changes for teams: 

  • – All users will become part of a company team. For new team members, permissions will be set to a low level unless indicated otherwise by an Admin on the team
  • – In order to bid on listings, you must be on a company team. Importantly, users can only be on one team in Cloudscene Marketplace (if you’re on more than one team, the platform will select the first team you joined as the default)
  • – When inviting a user to join a team, you can select your preferred permissions before submitting the invitation
  • – Anyone on your team with Sales Management permissions turned on will be able to see all listings that their company team members have been invited to, intended to bid on, provided a ‘No Bid’ response for, or submitted a bid for

New communication features:

Sellers will receive more comprehensive communication from buyers such as the following:

  • – Invited to bid: You’ve been selected to provide a quote for a listing
  • – Shortlisted: You’ve bid on a listing and have been shortlisted by the buyer as they go through the selection process
  • – Successful: You’ve been successful in your bid on a listing and have been selected to fulfill the buyer’s requirements
  • – Unsuccessful: Your bid on a listing has not been successful

Tracking opportunity progress and performance: 

  • View the stage for each individual opportunity in My Marketplace:
    • – Opportunities: Listings you’ve intended to bid on or been invited to
    • – Pending Buyer Decision: Opportunities for which you’ve submitted a bid and the listing has not yet expired/ended or the buyer is yet to choose a successful vendor
    • – Completed: Opportunities with an expired listing date for which you were either successful or unsuccessful

  • View the status of each listing:
    • – Opportunity: You’ve been invited and/or have intended to bid on this listing
    • – Submitted: You’ve submitted a big for this opportunity
    • – No Bid: You’ve declined/provided a ‘No Bid’ response for this opportunity
    • – No Response: You haven’t submitted a bid for this opportunity and the listing has expired/ended.
